The adult butterfly is completely different than it's adolescent form. Sporting colourful wings and a normal number of legs, you wouldn't guess that they are in fact the same creature as a ground-bound caterpillar.
Their behaviour is noticably different, too. Thanks to their ability to fly, some butterflies like the Monarch butterfly are able to migrate in large swarms, or "rabbles", during their breeding season.
